Once again. Once again, I sit in the chair that is to be replaced, as in all of my past positions. Once again, I feel the adrenaline let-down as my focus needs to be re-focused on day two of my new position. I've never had a day two where the distractions of jet lag have challenged my stamina, of course I have never been this old before!
Implementation of the flood of ideas and fixes are being regulated this fine, but chilly, CT morning. We can't do everything in one week. Prioritizing is the order of the day. God is the focus. My spirit is tender, my mind is revving high, my heart wants to burst...ministry is happening!
OK, the fact that our stuff won't all arrive on Saturday is in the back of my mind, but I'm not overly phased. OK, the fact that I didn't get to my "personal items" and casual pants before my dresser was strapped. wrapped and packed by the movers got to it, is on my mind, but only when I'm trying to select an outfit to wear. Yep, life still happens the first week of a new job. We all get to live in our realities everyday, but ministry is happening.
Until tomorrow,
Mickeal
